Diary of a wimpy Kid (also known: Greg Heffleys Journal :A Novel in cartoons) is a realistic fiction novel written by American Author Jeff Kinney .However, a slightly different version of book was orginally published online at FunBrain.com in 2004.
About the Book:The book begins with an introduction where Chirag explains the "cheese touch" it is very similar to the cooties,only more intense.Greg writes that a student was kidnapped"the Cheese" an old,moldy piece of cheese on the schoolyard was suspected on the kidnapping and was sentenced to a life term.The cheese is then considered a dishonerment signal at the school.
They end up being chased by some teenagers they taunted all the way to Greg's house. They then get soaked by a trashcan full of water by Greg's dad who mistakes them for teenagers. Christmas does not get much better for Greg and he becomes jealous when he sees his younger brother Manny becomes wanted. Meanwhile Greg ends up with a abc book his dad got him along with socks and books. His uncle got Greg a picture for Christmas. Rowley gets the video game that Greg wanted. Greg also created the comic "Get Fuzzy," which he gets bored of and abandons to allow Rowley to start drawing. Near the end of the school year "zoo wee mama " is published in the school's newspaper.the comic was made by Rowly . The two prepare to eat each other on the school grounds when they are happily interrupted by the potatoes who ambushed them on st.ignatius day.
The film was made by 20th Century Fox and directed by Thor Freudenthal. The movie stars Zachary Gordon as Greg, Robert Capron as Rowley, Steve Zahn as Greg's father, Rachael Harris as Greg's mother, Devon Bostick as Rodrick, Chloë Moretz as a new character named Angie, and Connor and Owen Feilding as Manny. The film was released on March 19, 2010. A second film in the series was released on March 25, 2011. The Second film released has a similar cast except it introduces a new character Holly Hills Peyton R. List whom Greg Zachary Gordon has a crush on.
